Our Light Lunch on  Friday 28th August 2009 featured Stock market Guru Richard Larner from Brewin Dolphin. He took a look back over the last year of stock market turmoil and gave us a look ahead into the next twelve months. In recent weeks the markets have rallied and some real money has been made on the more volatile shares like mining and banking.

Richard’s prediction is that the markets will fall back a small amount from last week’s high (which has already happened), but will then show some growth this autumn and perhaps next year. Money is going back into the markets because investment accounts are giving a poor return as opposed to stocks where some of the yields are relatively high.
